MNF- NY Jets vs Baltimore Ravens- Bullet Point Predictions

Posted: September 13, 2010 in Sports Rants!, The Blog!

A few bold predictions for tonights game…

*1. The Jets might have a long night- The Jets defense is missing pass rusher Calvin Pace and veteran Jason Tayor will have to step in, Darrelle Revis missed all of pre-season and will most likely be rusty tonight. Add that with Baltimores big time running back, Rutger’s Ray Rice and Joe Flaco’s big arm that will be throwing to two new toys named Anquan Boldin and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, it might be a very long night.

*2. Mark Sanchez will struggle but make at least one big play- Mark Sanchez showed flashes during the regular season last year that he can hang with the big boys, and was very smart in the playoffs. Sanchez will throw a pick and fumble most likey, however look for the kid from So-Cal to pull of a deep 40+ yard pass that will lead to a score.

*3. Kicking Woes- The Jet’s released one of their best and most consistent players from last year, kicker Jay Feeley. In return they picked up former Dallas Cowboy kicker, Nick Folk. Folk did well 2 seasons ago, but struggled heavily last year. The drop off between the two compared to last years stats are huge, if the Jets hope to stay solid on special teams, they better hope Folks repeats his performance from 08′ and not last year.

*4. Blast from the past- LaDainian Tomlinson was told he was done, the Chargers just dropped him off the cliff. Tonight look for LT to get close to 100 yards, a TD and give Jet fans some confidence.

*5. Butter Fingers- Even though he cut his numbers down last year, look for Braylon Edwards to drop at least one catchable ball tonight

*Verdict- Like I said in bullet point number one, the Jets will fall short tonight. I’m a huge Jet fan, a die hard, and maybe that’s why I am so pessimistic. Final tonight Ravens 27 -Jets 17
