General Stanley McChrystal is relieved from duty.

Only 24 hours after a Rolling Stone magazine article was published the top Afghanistan General is stepping down. In the article General Stanley McChrystal as well as others were interviewed and quoted in calling the president weak and doing a poor job in the effort in Afghanistan among other things. The General is incredibly out of line here, crossing lines that no one in their right mind would. Really? A Rolling Stone magazine article? President Obama did the right thing here, and showed us that he can indeed make a quick and decisive. Gen.McChrystal not only made a horrible judgment, it is coming out that he was involved in the cover up of what went down with former Arizona Cardinal NFL player Pat Tillman. President Obama showed anything but weakness here and showed a very strong hand. President Obama has replaced Gen. McChrystal with General David Petraeus, head of US Central Command in Iraq. This is going to be very interesting to see were this leaves us in Afghanistan, do we still pull out next summer? do we leave earlier? We will have to keep a look out over the upcoming weeks and months to follow this fascinating story unfold.
