I call it…”Separation of Robby and Palin”

Posted: April 20, 2010 in Political Commentary, The Blog!

Well Sarah Palin is at it again. At an “evangelical women’s conference” that Palin attended she did what she does best. Make a speech filled with nothing more than conservative right wing talking points that of course…are lies. In this case, 100 percent lies. Palin stood strong and shouted out the below text.

“I beg you, Women of Joy, to bring light and be involved, loving America and praying for her. Really, it is our solemn duty. Praying for true spiritual awakening to overcome deterioration. That is where God wants us to be. Lest anyone try to convince you that God should be separated from the state, our Founding Fathers, they were believers. And George Washington, he saw faith in God as basic to life.”

Once again FORCING her beliefs on everyone else, or at least trying to. Thank “god” the republications didn’t win in November of 2008. I mean, she doesn’t even have her facts straight, ever hear of the “Seperation of Church and State”? Look for yourself, it’s in the Bill of Rights.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Republications seem to have an issue interputing the Bill of the Rights and constitution in general. Our founding fathers made it clear this country wasn’t build on religion.

“The government of the United States is in no sense founded on the Christian Religion.”George Washington

“I do not find in Christianity one redeeming feature.”Thomas Jefferson

“The Bible is not my book, nor Christianity my religion.”Abraham Lincoln

“A just government has no need for the clergy or the church.”James Madison

“I believe in an America where religious intolerance will someday end… where every man has the same right to attend or not attend the church of his choice.”John F. Kennedy

“We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and nonbelievers.”Barack Obama

It really is amazing how these people can just twist words around. Look at the recent Pro-Gun rally’s over the last few days. People have actually been quoted in saying that they would want to carry automatic guns on them and they think everyone should be able to carry a gun. Does anyone actually think that is a good idea? The poor Bill of Rights really gets twisted around. I mean when it comes to guns and all the gun nuts in this country. Lets look at the 2nd Ammendment.

“A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Joe Schmo from one of these southern hicks states that likes to carry guns and kill innocent animals and hang them on his wall because he has to feel like a tough guy because of his own insecurity isn’t exactly a well-regulated Militia. It’s just moronic. The right wing in this country continue to do this and force this on the American people, they do cling to their religion and guns and on the contrary to what they say, that is not good and it is wrong that they once again re-word things to work in their favor. Stop it, and stop them. Vote for Financial Reform, get the Tea Party movement out of here, support health care and don’t give these people a chance.
